Ladybug Academy was born out of a father’s love and unshakable belief that every child deserves the chance to thrive. When our founder’s daughter — lovingly nicknamed Ladybug since birth — attended a Christian private school, her teachers expressed concern that she might have special learning needs. After testing confirmed their concerns, he fought to keep her in the faith-based environment he valued.

But one day, the principal told him, “She can stay, but don’t blame us if she never learns to read.” Hearing those words, he realized that while the school meant well, they simply didn’t have the resources his daughter needed. He withdrew her that very day, recognizing that real change would require something new — something independent.

Refusing to accept the traditional notion that children with special needs belong only under the authority of “Uncle Sam,” he stood up and created a solution. Ladybug Academy was founded to bridge the gap between private faith-based schools and public institutions — a place where free-market principles, individualized learning, and parental liberty come together to open a child’s mind and restore the true meaning of education. Above all, Ladybug Academy exists to give every special-needs child a restored sense of humanity — while staying connected to the communities of their heart, soul, and mind.

That’s why we’ve chosen a different path. By operating as a Private Membership Academy, we remove the red tape that limits teachers and families. We’re free to teach — free to adapt lessons in real time, to focus on the child instead of the checklist, and to nurture growth in ways that public systems simply can’t. At Ladybug Academy, your child isn’t a number or a program — they’re a priority.

The heart of this academy is to provide a quality education in a secular setting — one that nurtures intellect, confidence, and purpose without promoting any particular belief. Rooted in Christian values of compassion, integrity, and service, we welcome and honor every family’s faith and journey.

Leviticus 19:33–34 states — “And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.

As Ladybug Academy grew from vision to reality, our Founding Members were inspired by discovering Landmark College, a nationally recognized institution devoted to helping students with learning differences earn fully accredited college degrees. Knowing that such a college exists affirmed what we believe at our core — that learners with special needs are capable of extraordinary growth when given the right support. That inspiration helped motivate us to build a K–12 Private Academy that prepares students not just for today, but for a future filled with possibility, dignity, and hope.
